Genuineness, essentiality, flavours of the past, are qualities, that the visitor feels right away and by which he is immediately conquered, no sooner he arrives at Cattolica and at the whole Romagna. "Cattolica, una terra da scoprire"
La posizione è decisamente privilegiata, di fronte uno dei litorali più famosi al mondo, subito alle spalle un entroterra fertile e ricco di borghi murati e fortificazioni, testimonianza di un travagliato passato da terra di confine. Una visita è d’obbligo, meglio anzi approfittare di qualche giorno in più per assaporare con calma quello che questa terra straordinaria può offrire: chilometri di spiaggia ininterrotta con stabilimenti balneari attenti a ogni esigenza, ce nè per tutti i gusti. Siamo nella celebre riviera romagnola dopotutto. Ma non solo. Cattolica, perla del turismo estivo, ha origini antiche, legate alla romana Via Flaminia. Arte e storia passano di qui da secoli, romani, bizantini e poi il Rinascimento: al confine tra il Riminese e il Montefeltro, la zona è stata teatro del duro scontro tra i Malatesta e i Duchi di Urbino. Natura e cultura si confondono a due passi dalla costa. Tra le dolci colline olivi e vigneti si alternano a castelli e borghi di grande fascino tra i quali spicca la singolare Repubblica di San Marino, la più piccola e antica del mondo. In più, tradizioni gastronomiche e artigianali d’eccellenza fanno del viaggio in queste terre un’esperienza completa e indimenticabile.
